Ali Puckett is an Illinois indie artist, currently best known as Buttonhead, the maker of buttons, temporary tattoos, and other crazy crafty stuff. Ali and her Buttonhead art have been featured in Venus magazine, FOAM magazine, AutoStraddle.com, and HandmadeNews.org, with products distributed worldwide through Etsy.com.
When not making buttons, Ali is a full-time artist and involved
in various creative projects, including: The Indie 5 Collective (video resources for crafters), Photo 365 (a daily self-portrait exhibit), Brainflakes (an original comedy series), Chicken Cake (a comedy collaboration), as well as numerous theatrical and musical live performances.
Ali is a 2002 graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, IL,
studying English and Political Science. Until recently, she
could be found working in medical education, but
today, she resides in her downstate home, focusing on
Buttonhead business full-time, while developing new creative
projects.
